A deserted flyover during 12-Hour bandh called by the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) to protest against alleged killing of its cadres and members of other militant groups by security forces in the state in Guwahati on Thursday, 25 June 2009. ULFA declares 12-Hour bandh statewide on Thursday (June 25) alleging that 28th battalion cadres Debojit Chetia and Durlabh Bora were killed in army custody and not in the encounter in Samoguri on Sunday. ULFA said the rebel duo was held by army on June 10 as they were proceeding towards Karbi Anglong. According to the statement, more than 17 NDFB rebels were killed in their custody and were published as encounter.
