Today Bhopal District court convicted eight former senior employees of Union Carbide"s Indian subsidiary of ‘death by negligence’ found guilty for their roles in the Bhopal gas tragedy that left an estimated 15,000 people dead and more than 5 lakhs people injured/affected 25 yrs ago, in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh). Amongst the eight is Warren Anderson, former chairman of Union Carbide Corporation, US, who is absconding.
