Aviation Minister Praful Patel with GMR group Chairman G. M. Rao and other officials during the inauguration of the newly constructed third runway at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on Thursday, 21 August 2008. The third runway which was opened for trials at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Delhi International Airport (P) Limited (DIAL) inaugurated the 4430m long runway, the longest in the country which features CAT IIIB ILS at both ends. IGI airport becomes India"s first airport with three runways.
