Two Elephant namely Laxman and Pakhiraj which was rescued from Parkup Pahar, Karbi Anglong and another from Panjabari area Guwahati in 2001 and were kept in the Assam State Zoo cum Botanical garden in Guwahati as they are being shifted to Nameri wild life sanctuary for departmental works from the State Zoo in Guwahati on Friday, 02 April 2010.
