School children protest against the destruction of forests for coal mining in New Delhi on Tuesday, 22 November 2011.The "Support Forests" protest was organised by Greenpeace. Coal accounts for more than half of India"s energy use & consumption is set to increase as the country"s economic development accelerates in energy-intensive sectors such as steel & cement manufacturing.
