The Delhi-bound Mandore Express derailed near Banshko station, about 40 km from Jaipur on Saturday, 14 November 2009. At least six people were killed and 20 others injured when 15 coaches, including five AC ones, 7 sleeper and three general compartments of the Jodhpur-Delhi Mandore Express derailed. Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 5 lakh to the next of kin of those killed in the accident, Rs 1 lakh for those seriously injured and Rs 10,000 to those with minor injuries.
