An Indian soldier’s pay tribute to two soldiers who were martyred on July 29 while patrolling along the Line of Control when they were caught in a mine blast, in Kargil on Sunday, 31 July 2016. Due to the effect of the blast, Subedar Basappa Patil, who was the patrol leader and Sepoy Hasansab Khudavand, the leading scout, suffered grievous injuries, which proved to be fatal.
