Parents of five children with congenital birth defects from Bhopal presented their case of negligence of the Indian government towards the next generation of victims of Union Carbides poisons in a press conference. All the parents demanded that the Indian government should take special medical care of the victim children, social and economic rehabilitation should be done and safe drinking water should be provided to the people who are affected by the poisonous gas.
