Malabar giant squirrel: - This is the largest squirrel of India, there population is very high in Malabar region, the another cousin of this species is found in Bhimashankar in Maharashtra, these squirrels are interesting to watch, they made six seven nest on the trees and rest in one of the nest and keep on changing every day, the reason of safety from predators, this squirrel does not sit up while eating unlike other squirrel, it eats in horizontal position.
