Red necked Falcon: - This is Raptor, means a hunter bird like eagle etc, this is smaller than crow, but hunt the birds of double of its size, the male and female both hunt together, one chase the game and other attack very fast. These are birds of arid zones, found in Gujarat, Rajasthan and in drier parts of Maharashtra.

Chinkara or Indian Gazelle: - These animals are in the family of antelopes, the have inter orbital glands near the face and they rub it on plants and bushes, do scent marking for their territory in the breeding season, this animal is lives in dessert and dry arid zones and live without water for days, which is a prime key of survival of this animal. The Tibetan gazelle is cousin of chinkara found in Ladakh to Tibet.

Demoiselle Cranes: - These birds are migratory, they come to India from Central Asia, the stay here from September to March. They come in thousands, some time flocks of more than ten thousand or so, while crossing the Himalayas, these bird were killed by Golden eagle.

Blackbuck Portrait: - Black are not deer they are antelopes, means the animal don’t shed their stags and they have it for lifetime. These animals are shy doesn’t give close approach, I had managed to get this portrait shot in Rajasthan.

Chestnut bellied Nuthatch: - This bird is smaller than size of house sparrow, very difficult to photograph, the unique behavior of this bird is, it can go backwards on the tree, moves in any direction. This shot was taken in Saat Tal in Uttranchal.

Tuskers in Corbett: - The best place for seeing the Elephants in Corbett is called Chuar in Dhikala Area, The Chaur is grassland which is burn by forest guards in early February, as Corbett National park gets pre monsoon showers in end of April or early May, with this new fresh grass grows, which taste good to elephants and gives green background for photography, as elephants are grey and black in colour or some time muddy, so the green give good colour contrast to photographs.

Lion Cub: - The Asiatic lions are endangered species, the only home for these lions is Gir national park in Gujarat. Their population is around 300 in the wild. Seeing a lion cub is a matter of joy, when the threaten species population increasing. Here the cub was very curious and came straight to me, I can see the curiosity in his eyes.

Malabar giant squirrel: - This is the largest squirrel of India, there population is very high in Malabar region, the another cousin of this species is found in Bhimashankar in Maharashtra, these squirrels are interesting to watch, they made six seven nest on the trees and rest in one of the nest and keep on changing every day, the reason of safety from predators, this squirrel does not sit up while eating unlike other squirrel, it eats in horizontal position.

Houbara bustard: - The Houbara size is 60cm while standing, they occurs from Canary islands of Spain to north Africa and middle east to Central eastern and southern Asia, it breeds in Baluchistan and winter visitor to Pakistan, Rajasthan and Gujarat’s sandy semi deserts.They roost in open places ad bare areas, when disturbed they try to hide their head and becomes camouflage with ground. Houbaras are omnivorous, but largely feed on vegetarian, taking tender shoots of wheat and various berries, also ants beetle, grasshoppers and locust, lizards and small snakes.

Guar or Indian Bison: - The Guar are the largest wild cattle in the world. An adult male is the symbol of muscular strength, standing nearly six feet at the shoulder, their heads majestically crowned with sturdy, sweeping horns, full grown male weight up to 900 Kg. The name Indian Bison often used for Guars, but they are nearly wild cattle relatives of Yak and the Indonesian banteng, rather than the Bison of North America.

Montagus Harrier: - The word Harrier is derived from the old English hergian-to harass by hostile attacks.There are 16 species of harriers in all over the world, and 6 species found in India, Eurasian Marsh harrier, Montagus harrier and Pallid harrier, Eastern marsh harrier, Hen Harrier and pied harrier. Eurasian Marsh Harrier, Pallid and Montagus harriers are widely distributed in India, and the eastern marsh harrier and Hen harrier are commonly seen towards north and eastern parts of our country up to Assam. The pied Harrier is the only species breed in Assam.

Siberian cranes: - The Bharatpur bird sanctuary is famous for these Siberian cranes, the Siberian cranes use to come in month of November and remain here up to March. There population declined very sharply as this last pair photographed in December 2002, after that no bird had come to Bharatpur bird sanctuary.

Rosy Pelicans in the mist: - The Rosy Pelicans are fish eaters, each bird eats more than 5kg of fish per day, there was drought in Rajasthan and only water and fish was available in the Bharatpur bird sanctuary, so there were more 3000 pelicans gather here, it was a historic event.
